ZCast Direct Metal Casting, currently in the beta-testing phase, is the process of directly casting metals in molds printed on Z Corporation's line of 3D Printers. The mold cavity and inserts can be printed directly on the 3D Printer using ZCast powder, a plaster-ceramic composite appropriate for metal casting.

The ZCast process significantly reduces the time and cost associated with the production of metal prototypes by eliminating the pattern creation or tooling step in the traditional casting processes.

Z Corporation has formed an alliance with Griffin Industries for the continued development and optimization of this technology. For information on Griffin Industries, please visit www.griffinweb.com.

KEY VALUE PROPOSITION

1. The ability to quickly prototype metal parts by directly printing molds and mold inserts.
2. The elimination of costly pattern and tool production for prototype casting.
3. Dramatic time and cost savings in the production of near-net shape castings.
